Quartetto Tomassini takes the listener on an unforgettable journey with a unique sound that combines classical harmonization with a strong Latin beat and improvised sections. The group never plays a piece the same way twice and produces the smooth tube radio sound that enveloped the music of the Forties.
This dynamic lineup proves that it is possible to have it all with just four strings, delivering a solid base line, backgrounds with exquisite rhythm patterns and soaring melodies. Focusing on music not previously arranged for strings, the quartet creates music for all audiences spanning Latin, jazz, American standards and classical styles. Whether playing a concert hall, auditorium or smaller venue, Quartetto Tomassini’s distinctive sound has the power to transport the listener to places undiscovered.

Zach Layton (guitar)
Ian Riggs (bass)
Bradford Reed (drums)
bios:
Zach Layton (guitar) and Bradford Reed (drums) started Minerals in 2009. The project is an ongoing exploration of their mutual obsessions with metric phasing, modular improvisation, resonant states of consciousness, alternate tuning systems and rhythmic hypnosis.
Bradford Reed is a Brooklyn based composer, performer, percussionist and producer who fights and tames the idiosyncrasies of the pencilina, an original instrument of his own design and construction. The pencilina could be described as an electric 10 stringed collision of the hammer dulcimer, koto and slide guitar. In addition to extensive solo performances he played with King Missile III (and produced 5 of their records) and also played in the Blue Man Group’s original band for 10 years. Bradford is currently playing with Zach Layton in Minerals, a drum and guitar duet. In 2015 he started using an analog modular synthesizer to process percussion and using this technique as a foundation formed Ohmslice with Jane Lecroy. This project has drawn together musicians from different genres and video artists to create groundbreaking new works. (more…)

Love Every Note is a New York based concert series and performance platform dedicated to preserving the pure essences of art and expression. Through performances and collaborative projects, we bring together those who share this dedication as a way to inspire artists and audiences alike.
Programs are curated on a regular basis, delving into the experimental world of multi-genre work, while also bringing to light new possibilities for the development and context of classical performance. Whether inspired by a line of poetry, a certain movement in the body, or a special moment in time, each program is cultivated based on an overarching idea, and then expanded upon to include traditional, experimental, cross-genre, and multi-media production elements.

The Trump Card is one man (Matty Tuzynski) grappling, in a titanic struggle, against the monolithic King of Chaos that has in one year either charmed, baffled, or offended every living American: Donald Trump. What makes this person tick? How have we allowed him to come so close to The White House? Matty T. takes the audience on a sweeping journey through the American political experience and Trump’s past with the hope of understanding how power is sustained, myths are created, and what has become of The American Dream.
Matty Tuzynski is a solo performer living in New York City. He is impulsive and self-destructive which makes him good at his job. He has directed the The Vagina Monologues and performed in many shows at The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford including The Seagull, an adaption of Chekhov’s play written by Tuzynski.
Mike Daisey has created and performed critically acclaimed monologues for twenty years. Such works include The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs, American Utopias, and The Trump Card which he is currently performing all over the US.
