.The Velocity Duo’s debut album “Dichotomies” is a lyric-less vocal/bass collaboration that focuses on spontaneous composition. A word was chosen as the “theme” of the melodies we , then it was paired with it’s indirect opposite so that listeners could “choose their own adventure” if you will and decide which word they think fits the track best. Released in Spring of 2015, this album has been a springboard for other improvisational ideas including the use of single lyric themes, poetry, and electronic effects. This concert will explore new improvisational themes through current events and other inspirational topics.
