Brooklyn Art Song Society is proud to announce the third installment of its ongoing festival Clara, Robert, and Johannes.  This concert features Robert Schumann’s rarely heard masterpiece Myrthen Op. 25, a cycle of 26 songs written as a wedding present to his wife Clara.  The set includes many of Schumann’s most iconic songs including Widmung and Der Nussbaum as well as many lesser-known gems.  Returning BASS favorites soprano Martha Guth and pianist Erika Switzer are joined by German tenor Nils Nuebert in his company debut.

The unique Firehouse Space in East Williamsburg is the perfect venue for this personal and intimate work- be sure not to miss it!
