Join us for these Soundpainting sessions, “Advanced Soundpainting Session-Beginners Welcome.” We cover new concepts around this live-composing sign language, and share new ideas. Beginners can ‘swim’ and ask questions, and a short overview of gestures can also be done before diving in with the rest of the group. Hosted each month by two Soundpainter hosts, these sessions will cover a variety of live-composition topics and will concentrate on different disciplines such as: acting, dancing/movement, lighting design, visual art, music, electronic music. Join us every last Sunday of the month. Soundpainting hosts include: Mark Lindberg, Evan Mazunik, Gil Selinger, Dennis Shafer, Tomi Tsunoda, and Leese Walker, each leaders of their own Soundpainting ensembles in New York.
This March 30th will be hosted by Dennis Shafer and Leese Walker, along withLeese’s ensemble, the Strike Anywhere Performance Ensemble. Dennis Shafer is a saxophonist and live-composer, and Leese Walker is an actor and director.
