Geoff Countryman currently plays in Dave Douglas’ Keystone, and is often featured on Saturday Night Live as an recurring band member. Collectively, the Buffalo Band has worked with artists such as The Wutang Clan, TI, The Gregory Brothers, Teddy Thompson, Jim Keller and Ronnie Spector among many others. The Buffalo Band is a direct byproduct of Geoff Countryman’s diverse experience within the music world, from being a 4 time Grammy Nominated Recording Engineer to being featured in film, television and Broadway. With the Buffalo band you’ll hear hints of the Beatles and Curtis Mayfield, though Stanley Turrentine and Brian Blade’s influences are clear. The music is a melding of both jazz and commercial music with varied focus on melodies and minimalism.

Saxophone Kung-Fu, Breakdance Kung-Fu, Freestyle Rap Kung-Fu, Capoiera Kung-Fu, Electric Bass Kung-Fu all come from the same of source of learning, patience, and unrelenting energy.Our goal is to unite humanity through positive expressions of the human spirit by combining Martial Arts, Jazz/Funk Music, Breakdancing, Freestyle Rap, Beatboxing and Video Projection of 70′s & 80′s Kung-Fu Movies, Anime, and Video Games into a Celebration of Sonic and Physical Movement.
