Punk rock, indie pop and a chamber concerto. That’s what teenage new-music sensations, Face the Music, bring to The Firehouse Space, in the first of two performances this season. Performing Huang Ruo’s “The Lost Garden: Chamber Concerto no. 2”, covers of the raucous punk-jazz quartet Gutbucket, and “Kepler62f”, an indie-pop suite composed by Face the Music’s own Howard Lin. This program will offer you a glimpse into the digital minds of this generation’s talented teenagers – and next generation’s musical leaders.
