The Dave Hassell Quintet is an attempt to convey a stylized disposition through original composition and improvisatory vehicles. The group’s wide range of influences allows for explorations of groove, intensity, and improvisation across a number of styles, all while remaining rooted within a central spirit. The group has been performing and recording together for about a year and a half and has made considerable strides towards a unified sound and purpose. DHQ’s debut album entitled “Bearings” was released in November of 2013. Be on the lookout for a series of videos to be released soon, as well as another full length album in the spring of 2015.

Asher Kurtz and Oblio, presents to you a concert of exciting and diverse original music. Although the music can’t be fit into one single genre, you can hear the influences of Jazz and Free Improvisation, the rhythmic intensity of Drum & Bass, the heaviness of Metal, and the simple melodies in Indie/Folk music.
