Back from a tour of Sweden and headlining at the UMEA Jazz Festival,the Blessing is a quartet led by Matt Lavelle to process the influence on him from spending time with Ornette Coleman.Ras Moshe on Tenor,Soprano,and Alto and Francois Grillot on bass have been playing with Matt as far back as 1993.The great David Miller on drums.
“I spent 20 years looking for my music,and OC really helped me get to the point so to speak.This project might be more in than out,but it’s all me.Since It’s Valentines day I will mos def play some ballads about the trials,tribulations,and intimacy that come with the holy force of LOVE.”

The ever tenacious brother G returns to lead his quartet with Matt Lavelle on Flugelhorn and Alto Clarinet,Francois Grillot on Bass,and David Miller on drums.Giuseppi Logan shocked the Jazz world a few years ago by proving that he still exists.After becoming somewhat of a legend and a mystery based on his ESP record in the 60′s,Giuseppi resurfaced in NYC and made a comeback record for Tompkins Square records.Giuseppi continues to have his own very personal way of writing and playing and has a story to tell unlike any other.Jazz as real as it gets. . . . .
