Sam Yulsman and Friends

nick muyassar
Sandy Derek

1. Sandy Gordon and Derek Baron

With a patchwork of small percussion, field recordings, electronics, and found objects, Sandy Gordon and Derek Baron activate a sonic world at once musical and amorphous; one that muses on the interior and exterior via explorations of memory, listening, and everyday ambience.

2. Nicholas Jozwiak and Muyassar Kurdi

”Intersections and Variations” explores ideas, variations, associations, and theories around a line in space. The line transmits energy and communicates; it is seen as a boundary and an extension of anatomy. The line also creates form, and a new kind of space within a space. The various versions of this piece involve home-made electronics, movement, theatre, sculpture, voice, cello, and gong.

 3. John Welsh and Sam Yulsman

John Welsh and Sam Yulsman’s new set of original music moves between virtuosic fugal counterpoint, weird lyricisms, and dystopic drone.  They have been collaborating closely for over two years.
