Tomi Tsunoda’s ensemble the Brooklyn Soundpainting Company will be hosting this event.
Brooklyn Soundpainting Company has been working since 2007 on incorporating the live composition language of Soundpainting into their contemporary theater practice. As BSC kicks off the new year, the team is developing ideas for a new longform theater project called And Then What, an exploration of survivalism and the collapse of modern civilization. On January 18th, as part of the Soundpainting 3rd Sundays series, BSC will be leading a workshop in theatrical Soundpainting from 68p, and offering a first sneak peek performance of first explorations from the And Then What project at 8p. This workshop is open attendance to anyone interested in the use of Soundpainting for actors and narrative development.
Brooklyn Soundpainting Company is: Tomi Tsunoda (soundpainter), Mark Lindberg (actor/soundpainter), Jes Levine (actor/soundpainter), Ian Axness (pianist/soundpainter), Max Reuben (actor), Mateo Ervin (actor), Morgan Murphey (sound and media design).
