This Sunday will be: Dennis Shafer and his Brooklyn Soundpainting Ensemble as host. We will discuss live-composition signs for actors, dancers, and musicians. 6-8 workshop,8 pm performance, involving those who want to sit in.“Advanced Soundpainting Session-Beginners Welcome.” We cover new concepts around this live-composing sign language, and share new ideas. Beginners can ‘swim’ and ask questions, and a short overview of gestures can also be done before diving in with the rest of the group. Hosted each month by two Soundpainter hosts, these sessions will cover a variety of live-composition topics and will concentrate on different disciplines such as: acting, dancing/movement, lighting design, visual art, music, electronic music. Join us every last Sunday of the month. Soundpainting hosts include: Mark Lindberg, Evan Mazunik, Gil Selinger, Dennis Shafer, Tomi Tsunoda, and Leese Walker, each leaders of their own Soundpainting ensembles in New York.
