1st set:
The Restrictor is a group from Williamsburg-Brooklyn, NY. Its peculiar music is a hybrid of post-jazz style (ECM Style), progressive rock, ambient, and avant-garde.
The Restrictor started circa 2004 by sound and visual artist Damien Olsen (keys, guitar, piano, and various electronics) and Kevin Rozza (bass and bass guitar). Since then, many musicians have participated in recording sessions and various jams helping The Restrictor to find personality. Today, more than six years from those erratic beginnings, the band has established its most pushing influences: The psychedelic Canterbury scene of the ’60′s and ’70′s, progressive european rock, free form jazz, post-jazz ECM style, and avant-garde 19th and 20th century orchestral music (Stravinsky, Debussy, Satie, Rimsky-Korsakov, Mussorsky, etc).
