Bang on a Can 2014 Summer Marathon alums, Adrianna Mateo and Brooks Frederickson, team up for a night of new music. Hailed as a “rising artist” by the New York Times, new music violinist Adriana Mateo has performed solo at the Bang on a Can Summer Marathon as the only featured soloist on the 2014 Marathon, the American Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in collaboration with its first Artist-In-Residence DJ Spooky, and on tour in Europe. Most recently, she has recorded for Philip Glass and recorded/modeled for a commercial slated for national release later this year. Ms. Mateo regularly learns and performs on multiple instruments (violin, guitar, piano, and various others), merging roles as new music soloist and singer-songwriter for well-received performances at the Living Room, Ars Nova, and in Africa and Southeast Asia.
