This evening, we will present a rare solo set by one of Brooklyn’s most original and in-demand improvising musicians, Mary Halvorson. This program also features improvised chamber music by a new ensemble compiled by Bay Area bassist and improviser Lisa Mezzacappa. This exciting ensemble brings together some of New York’s most striking and singular instrumentalists in an unusual and compelling instrumentation.
