“With the room-tone of The Firehouse Space, I will create a site-specific 2 piano/voice/4 loudspeaker/adhesive tape/tracing paper/fluorescent color/projector SITUATION. Positioning the 2 grand pianos on the opposite side is spatial concept; my activities are in between. I stick membranes/transducer into pianos, on paper, and under scotch tape while singing the room-tones. To listen something off from one another, to un-couple: the un-isolation of momentary perception, this gap/space between. Impulse, no results, inconclusive, unattainable, question to myself: is there anything attainable with sound, picture, word?” — Johannes S. Sistermanns
