8:00PM IDES is a duo of duos comprised of Steven Long piano, Dan O’Brien reeds, Drew Wesely guitar, and Utsav Lal piano. The group is fascinated by the dichotomy between the ear and the visual experience of the score. As the aural and visual senses merge and come apart they create a dynamic whole in our collective minds and actions. Through intensive play and experimentation with time, orchestration, and improvisation, we aim to create a music that bridges the gaps between our senses.

Maestro Day
9:00 PM Maestro Day is a quartet comprised of Brooklyn based musicians, Henry Fraser (bass), Sam Weinberg (saxophone), Connor Baker (floor percussion), and Joe Moffett (trumpet). The four work through surprising textural shifts, eerie insistent passages in their oft rehearsed music. Quickly contrasting areas of screamed multiphonics and whispered passages abound. Tonight’s the day.
