8pm - Schoenbeck/Weiss/Drury/Ott form a multimedia quartet improvising in two dimensions. Visualist Joshue Ott works with hand-drawn forms manipulated in real-time, which makes it possible to improvise directly with the music.

9:30pm - Stabinsky/Seabrook Duo - Ron Stabinsky: Piano, Brandon Seabrook: Banjo

In addition to pursuing an ongoing interest in solo piano improvisation, Ron Stabinsky enjoys working on music in a stylistically diverse array of situations throughout the United States and Europe with many other musicians and ensembles, including free-improvising saxophonist Jack Wright, Meat Puppets’ bassist Chris Kirkwood, and NEA Jazz Master David Leibman. Recent festival appearances include Newport Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival (Netherlands), Moers Festival (Germany), and Jazz and More Festival Sibiu (Romania). He is currently a regular member of the band Mostly Other People Do the Killing, the new music ensemble Relache, the Charles Evans Quartet, and the Peter Evans Quartet, Quintet, and Octet.

“Brandon Seabrook has an itchy, over-driven, often evil sounding interface with the banjo, and as an improviser he uses it to establish a clear but aggressively usettled identity” –Nate Chinen, Jazztimes
