David Dovo’s Electric Red skillfully weaves ambient guitar loops, driving bass lines, jazz infected drums, and spoken word into funky cinematic sound-scapes that shake your body and move your mind.

A composer and bass player, David also brings his background as a sound engineer to the production table allowing him to seamlessly integrate the eclectic influences in Electric Red. In his hands, spoken word pulled from vintage films cuts subversively through the deep pockets of Electric Red’s grooves, relentless bass lines hold steady against improvised guitar lines and loops, and live drums and electronic beats create layered polyrhythms. This is thinking music for people who get down. This is groove for the heady set. This is BassmentSpace, a new genre born of the pleasures of contrast and contradiction.

Eran Asias (Drums/Heartbeat/ Mossad), Harvey Valdes (Guitar/Cosmic Tones For Mental Therapy), Mark Koch (Sound Design/Temporal Lobe/Henbane & Poppies), Cryptic 303 (Retinal Burn/Pineal Gland Optics) David A. Dovo (Bass/Executive Brain Entropy)

‘Like’ Electric Red on Facebook and listen on bandcamp.

Outer Sposato Insemble is a group affective sound disorder cultivated and characterized by three like-minded musicians in Brooklyn, New York. The collaborators in entropy are Pasquale Cangiano on trumpet/sonic manipulation, Mike Stingone on drum elicitation and Mark Sposato on double bass spacetime transmission. Hemorrhaging feeling, fleeting in thought, the music is fluid, dynamic, improvised, and groove driven, engaging multiple genres including acid jazz, dub, electronic, and the avant garde.
